Play area fun
Make hay while sun shines. For Chicagoans, its hit outdoors and enjoy summer till it lasts! This year, we have been enjoying plenty of sunshine and warm weather so far. Hope it stays for some more time!!
We have been playing outdoors and enjoying the summer. Skandhu keeps waiting for us to take him to play area. He would get ready, visit rest-room ( potty practice: we do this every time before we leave home), wear his shoes and even buckle his car seat – all by himself!! You take me to my fav place, I can do anything for that
We let him run wild and burn his energy. We have a wonderful play area close to our home and Skandhu absolutely loves it. Rock climbing is his fav one! This activity is good for muscle development and improves concentration. Here is our 33 month old son climbing on the rocks.
It is always good to choose a play area that is well suited for your kids age. Toddlers and preschooler love challenges. If we introduce a new play/activity at the play area, Skandhu would be little hesitant to try it out. But if he sees older kids playing on that, then he would also want to try it out. Watching other kids play around gives him confidence to stretch his boundaries and come out of his comfort zone.
Here is clipping of our son balancing on a bridge.
Well preschoolers have so much play but what about toddlers? Instead of taking your toddler to the swing alone, allow him to run around and explore the place. Here is clipping of our son climbing metal bars at 22 months (took this video almost a year back, ah! time flies!)
